PUBLIC ALERT: NAFDAC Recalls Eva Premium 75cl Table Water Pending Proper Investigation


The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has directed Nigerian Bottling Company Limited to recall Eva Premium Table Water 75cl as a precautionary step pending investigation by the Agency. 

The company being interested in the health and wellbeing of their consumers, voluntarily reported to NAFDAC on June 20, 2019, about a change in colour of the product from colourless to light green and presence of particles in two lots.


According to NAFDAC, the  affected Eva Premium Table Water 75cl was produced between 22nd and 23rd May, 2019 at Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The details of the affected Eva Premium Table Water 75cl are stated below:

''Eva Premium Table Water 75cl produced by Nigerian Bottling Company is registered by NAFDAC and the  NAFDAC Registration Number is 01-0492''.

The Agency reported that the production of Eva Premium Table Water 75cl at Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State has been suspended pending the outcome of investigation being conducted.


NAFDAC therfore  implores distributors, wholesalers and retailers to immediately stop the distribution and sale of the affected Eva Premium Table Water 75cl. They should return the stock of the affected product in their possession to Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State.


Consumers on the other hand are advised to consciously check the Eva table water for the details above prior to consumption and if taken unknowingly should report adverse events related to the use of this product to the nearest NAFDAC office, NAFDAC PRASCOR (20543 TOLL FREE from all networks) or via pharmacovigilance@nafdac.gov.ng
